Bonita E. Episcopo, "Bonnie", age 91 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 5, 2025. Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Viola (Ruggiero) and Victor Bandiera. Bonnie graduated from Wilmington High School and spent time working at the Bank of Delaware, in addition to being a dedicated homemaker for her husband and son. Bonnie and her husband, Artie, traveled extensively, vacationing in the Untied States and abroad, having visited Italy several times. They enjoyed their retirement at their beach house in Rehoboth Beach and were longtime members of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Sunrise of Wilmington for the exceptional care they provided for Bonnie over the past year.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her husband, Lt. General Arthur Episcopo; her son, Kenny Episcopo; and her siblings, Victor Bandiera, Jr., and Lorraine Wasik. Bonnie is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday June 11, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th and Dupont Streets, Wilmington, DE 19805. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Mid County Senior Center, 1 First Regiment Road Wilmington, DE 19808.
