Betty Bratton, age 83, of Wilmington, DE went peacefully to be with the Lord, on December 15th, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Born in Richmond, VA, Betty was the daughter of the late Willie and Carlease Crump. Betty moved to Wilmington, DE in 1956 with her parents, brothers, and paternal grandparents. Betty received her RN from The Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and was its Alumnae President for over 30 years. Betty received her MSN from the University of Delaware. She retired from Christiana Care Health Systems after 44 years of service. After retirement Betty worked as a Hospice Nurse. Betty had been a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church for over 50 years.

Betty is predeceased by her husband Harry D. "Buddy" Bratton; her brother, Thomas Crump; and her son-in-law, Keith. Betty is survived by her daughters Donna, Beth, and her son David; grandchildren, Amber, Joseph, and Sherry (Tim) as well as brother, Mike Crump (Alice); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Betty's pride was her family and all their activities; her passion was being a nurse and helping others; and her pleasure was keeping old friends and making new ones.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday January 22nd at the Mealey Funeral Homes 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where visitation will begin at 12 P.M. Interment blessings will be held privately at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
