Bernice M. Permar, age 88, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024..

Bernice was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Joseph and Cecilia Matyniak. Bernice graduated from Wilmington High School and worked as a legal secretary before becoming a homemaker to raise her family. In her free time , Bernice enjoyed baking, crossword puzzles and reading. In addition to her parents, Bernice was predeceased by her sisters, Frances Miklasiewicz and Dorothy Long.

Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Richard, sons Mark (Joan) and Christopher. Grandchildren Quinn and Jillian whom she adored, sister Helen Gawinski.

Per Bernice's wishes, services will be private.
