Bernard Joseph Esoda, 90, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on February 5, 2022. Born in Mahanoy City, PA on September 7 1931, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jackson Esoda; his parents, Peter Esoda and Margaret Kubilis Esoda; and all of his siblings. He is survived by his daughters, Mary E. Garrett of Kennett Square, PA and Patricia E. Brown of Washington, DC; his sons, William V. Esoda of Raleigh, NC, Robert M. Esoda of Hamilton, VA, Mark E. Esoda of Loveland, CO, and John B. Esoda of North Port, FL; fifteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Before embarking on a forty-year career with Philadelphia Electric Company, now known as Exelon, he graduated from Collingswood High School in New Jersey, Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, and served a brief term in the United States Navy. After raising their family in Haddon Heights, NJ, Bernard and Betty lived at Lake Gaston, NC and Williamsburg, VA. Following his wife's passing, Bernard moved to Kennett Square, PA to be closer to his family. He enjoyed golf and classical guitar, and travelled extensively during his retirement. Bernard wishes to spend eternity among the seas with his wife Betty, so his ashes will be spread at the beach by his family at a later date.
