Bart Robert Shelly, age 60, passed away peacefully in his home on October 27, 2020. He was born to Sandra and the late Robert Shelly in Wilmington, DE where he lived the rest of his days. He graduated from Delcastle High School in 1978 and made a career in HVAC. Bart worked at the Mary Campbell Center for 10 years and then started his own HVAC business. Bart was dedicated to his family and friends and used his trade to help them. When he was not working, Bart enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen, learning mechanics through tinkering around, and spending time with his family and dog. Bart is survived by his wife of 33 years, Oanh Shelly; his sons, Jonathan and Joshua Shelly; his mother, Sandra Shelly; his siblings and their spouses, Cindy McDaniel, Bret and Gina Shelly, Brad Shelly, and Linda and George Buchwald; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. A visitation will be held at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808 on Wednesday November 11, 2020 from 12pm - 1:30pm. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
