Barry T. Bowers, age 76, of Wilmington, DE, passed from this life on July 11, 2025, surrounded by love and family.

Born in Wilmington on September 21, 1948, he was the son of Samuel L. Bowers, and Helen (Bailey) Bowers. Barry graduated from P.S. DuPont High School, and attended basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas for the Delaware Air National Guard. He spent his entire working career at ICI Americas, which later became Croda. He retired after 41years of service as a chemist assistant and the longtime union president to the Steelworkers Local 12886 union.

Barry is fondly remembered by many as a wonderful little league baseball coach, taking his teams with both Capital and Midway Little Leagues to the Championship. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and spending time with his family. He was especially proud of his relationship with all seven of his grandchildren.

Barry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy (Catts), or as Barry fondly called her, "Jude"; his son Brent (Stephanie) and their children Jake, Cassidy, and Taylor; his daughter Valerie Eddy (Chris) and their children Tyler, Regan, Devyn, and Peyton; his brother, Robert B. Bowers, nieces, and nephews, and many grandpuppies.
