Barbara A. Chechila, age 84, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Barbara was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Regina (Zakrzewski) and Stanley Krajewski. She worked for MBNA where she excelled in the Financial Department before her retirement. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed home making, shopping, and making floral arrangements. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also predeceased by her loving husband, Walter G. Chechila; brothers, James and Thomas Krajewski, and brother-in-law David Chechila.

Barbara is survived by son, Michael DePrisco and his wife Debra; her daughters and their spouses, Andrea (Michael), Chris (Eric), and Lisa (Michael); grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Tyler, Michael, Douglas, Daniel, Nicholas, Kate, and David; great grandchildren, Vincent, Joseph, Daniel, Everly, Summer, and Ryder; special niece, Kymberly; close family members Linda and Randy Cooper.

Funeral Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Barbara's name to Delaware Humane Society.
