Barbara Elaine Talley Brown

16 March 1939- 25 December 2024

Barbara was born in Wilmington, Delaware and raised on the family farm, Blue Rock Dairy. During her high school years at A.I. DuPont she Co-Op'ed at the Bank of Delaware and began working there after graduation.

It was at the Bank that she met her husband, Samuel T. Brown, III, who predeceased her after over 44 years of marriage. In addition to the Bank, Barbara worked at Short's Garage, taking great delight in getting her Ham Radio license. As a bookkeeper, she helped with the books at Short's Garage and kept the books for the family business, Wilsmere Enterprises.

Her life's work was that of Mother and caregiver. She raised two daughters, E. Talley Brown and Chandler Brown, as well as numerous well-loved dogs and cats. Barbara will always be remembered for her strong work ethic, matter of fact manner, and engaging stories.

A Celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
