Armeda Betts Johnson, age 92, of Bear, DE passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024. Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Bisio) and Eddie Betts. Armeda graduated from Wilmington High School and went on to work as a Secretary Manager at the Dupont Experimental Station and later Louviers. She worked in education, training other secretaries in diction until her retirement in the 1980s. She also spent time working in administration at the University of Delaware Carpenter Sports Building. Armeda was well traveled and spent time in Luxemburg and Holland with her husband while he worked abroad in the 1980s and 1990s. She loved to volunteer, especially at her home parish of St. Mark's United Methodist and Friendship House.

In addition to her parents, Armeda was predeceased by her sister, Nadine Fragale. Armeda is survived by her children, Marcus Gerard, Judy Johnson, and David Johnson (Michelle); her grandchildren, Robb (Amanda), Matthew (Lindsay), and Taylor; her great grandchildren, Jimmy, Aidan, Logan, Cole, Cameron and Blakely; and her siblings, William E. Betts, Ralph W. Betts, Linda Betts Fouke, Gayle Betts Kovalski, and Terry Ann Betts Samerdyke.

A Gathering will be held in Fellowship Hall at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 1700 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19804 on December 13th 2024 at 11:30 A.M.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
