Antonio "Tony" Meloro passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025 in Christiana Hospital at the age of 65.

Tony was born on November 16, 1959 in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy, the son of the late Concetta (Patrone) and Alessandro Meloro.  He and his family moved to the Little Italy neighborhood of Wilmington, DE in 1966.  Tony graduated from Salesianum High School in 1978 and then the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture.  Upon graduation, Tony embarked on a lengthy career and ultimately retiring from DuPont Stine-Haskell Research Center as a Biologist.  He was a long time member of Longwood Gardens and an avid outdoorsman while cherishing many hours of fishing in and around Cape Henlopen State Park.  Tony was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He will be dearly missed by his brother and sisters, Rosaria (Domenico) Caruso of Deptford, NJ; Angelo (Kim) Meloro of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Rachel (Michael) Deely of Newark, DE, along with his nieces and nephews.  His greatest joy was the time he spent with his great-nephew, Vinnie.

Funeral services will be private.
