Antonio Mazzola, Jr., "Jr" and "Tony", 50 passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital on November 16th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife and sons.

He was known as Jr. to family and childhood friends, and Tony to friends, co-workers and acquaintances later in life. Either way, he will be dearly missed. It is so rare that a man's selfless love can transcend years, decades, even whole generations. The love Tony had for all those he held dear, knows no bounds and persists even beyond his life, living on in the hearts of those he touched.

Tony was born in Wilmington, the son of Lucia (Pesce) and the late Antonio Mazzola, Sr. He graduated from Newark High School and served years in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge, Tony worked for American K-9 Interdiction, LLC (AK9I) as an expert K-9 trainer. Then, years later at the time of his death, he was a finance manager for Hertrich.

Jr. is survived by his wife, Patricia (Sapp) Mazzola; his sons, Anthony and his wife, Leslie of Wilmington, and Dominic and Giovanni at home; his mother, Lucia Pesce Mazzola; his brothers and their spouses, Donato and Renee and Gerardo and Jenifer; his sister, Daniela, all of Newark; his in-laws, Linda and Bob Sapp of New Castle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509Limestone Road on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 2 to 4 PM. Funeral services will be held the following morning, Monday at 10:30 at the funeral home. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
