Antoinette Marie Ponchak, age 82, of Newark, DE passed away at Christiana Hospital on May 10, 2021. Born in Wilmington, DE to the late Sophie (Rybinski) and James Healy, she graduated from St. Elizabeth's High School and went on to become a registered nurse. She worked at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD until her retirement. Antoinette was a parishioner at Holy Angels Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Alyssa, with whom she lived. In addition to her parents, Antoinette was predeceased by her brothers, Edward and James Healy, and her grandchildren, Richard Ponchak, and Jackie Fletcher. Antoinette is survived by her children and their spouses, Alexander "Al" and Janet Ponchak, David and Wendy Ponchak, James H. Ponchak, and Cheryl and Kevin Marx; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday May 20th at 10 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 809 S. Broom Street, Wilmington, DE 19805. Burial will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Catholic Charities, 2601 W 4th Street, Wilmington, DE 19805.
