Anne E. Basilio (Strengari), age 98, of Newark, DE passed away surrounded by her family on June 16th, 2025. Born in West Grove, PA, she was the daughter of the late Assunta (Tavani) and Constantine DiFilippo. She graduated from Avon Grove High School and spent many years working as a cook at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Newark. In addition to her work at Holy Angels, Anne was a dedicated homemaker for her family. Anne was predeceased by both of her husbands: Louis Strengari, Jr. and Raymond Basilio.

In addition to her parents and her spouses, Anne was predeceased by her children, Michael Strengari and Gemma Brand; her granddaughter, Katie; her great-granddaughter, Jessica; and nine siblings. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Louis and Debbie Strengari, Marlene and Zenek Cybak, and Stephen and Donna Strengari; her grandchildren, Jeff, Daniel (Jessica), Dana (Mike), Denise, Sarah (Shawn), Stephen Jr., Michael, Victoria, Greg (Kelly), and Ben (Kristen); her 23 great grandchildren; and her brother, Constantine DeFilippo (Dorothy).

A visitation will be held on Saturday June 21st at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M., with funeral services beginning at 11 A.M. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Little Sisters of the Poor , 185 Salem Church Rd, Newark, DE 19713.
