Anna Theresa Hammons, age 91 of Newark, DE passed away on September 13th, 2025.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Russo. Anna worked as a Nursing Assistant at Emily Bissell Hospital in Wilmington and spent time in real estate as a property manager.

Anna is survived by her sons, Dominick Rappa, Albert Rappa, and Glenn Hammons; her grandchildren, Johnathon Tadio and Adrianna Tadio; her sister, Margaret Sorbello; and her brother Ronald Russo. She is also survived by her two cats Missy and Sweety whom she loved dearly. She is predeceased by her grandson, Vincent Rappa; and her two husbands, Daniel D. Rappa and William J. Hammons.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808, from 5 P.M. to 6 P.M., funeral services to begin at 6 P.M.. Burial to be held at a later date.
