Ann Marie Kokoszka

Ann Marie Kokoszka, age 85, of New Castle, DE passed away on August 1, 2026. Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Susan DeLapo. She graduated from Brown Vocational Technical High School and went on to work alongside her husband and sons in their family business, Kokoszka and Sons, Inc. Ann was a devout Catholic and had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. She enjoyed reciting the rosary and was a longtime parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Bear, DE. Her happiest memories were spending time with her children and grandchildren at their shore house in Wildwood, NJ.

In addition to her parents, Ann is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Edward Kokoszka; her daughter-in-law, Leslie Kokoszka; and her siblings, Angelo DeLapo and Florine Rosauri. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Deborah and John Andrews, Edward J., Richard A. and Mary Lou, and Joseph A. and Andrea; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 6th at 11 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 345 Bear Christiana Road, Bear, DE 19701 . Visitation will begin at 10 A.M. Burial will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish at the address above.
