Ann Philomene Farrell, age 91, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on May 16th, 2025. Born in Wilmington, Ann was the daughter of the late Julia (O'Sullivan) and Jeremiah Cronin. She attended St. Ann's Grade School and later graduated from St. Paul's Commercial School. She went on to work as a dental assistant in addition to being a dedicated homemaker for her family.

In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her husband, George P. Farrell; her son-in-law, Donald J. Rushton; brothers, Jerry, Tim and Joe Cronin, and sisters, Sr. Margaret Philomene Cronin OSF, Elizabeth Gilson, Margaret Dolan, Sr. Kathleen Cronin OSF, Nora Zuclich.

Ann is survived by her children, Kathleen Ann Fichter (Scott) and Joanne Elizabeth Rushton; her grandchildren, Julia, Claire, Jacob and Sean; her sister, Mary Frances Kelleher; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Wendy from Compassionate Care hospice for her dedicated care for Ann in her final days.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday May 27th at 10 A.M. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Gilpin and Union Streets, Wilmington, DE 19806. Burial will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
