Obituary

Andrew Joseph Krauser, age 73, of Newark, DE, formerly of Teaneck, NJ, passed away surrounded by his family on September 19, 2024.

Born in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Margarete (Kranzler) and Mendel (Max) Krauser. A graduate of Teaneck High School, Andy was a proud Highwayman who ran the Class of 1969 alumni group and helped plan reunions; he was looking forward to his 55th class reunion that was being held in the coming week. Andy graduated from Ohio University, earning his bachelor's degree in TV/Radio. He then worked in his family's luggage business for almost two decades before opening his print shop, Minuteman Press, which he ran for 23 years. He and his wife, Ann, raised their family in West Orange, NJ, where he was very active in the community. Andy was an avid sports fan, especially of the New York Mets. He enjoyed bowling, cycling, and playing basketball, attending craft fairs and antique shops with his wife, taking road trips, and going on annual family vacations to Ocean City, NJ. Andy's childhood nickname was "Smiley," and he was happiest when surrounded by his family and spending time with his close friends, some of more than 50 years.

Andy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Krauser; his daughters, Emily Krauser (Daniel) and Valerie Krauser; his brother, Richard Krauser; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

A visitation will be held for close family and friends on Sunday September 22nd from 11:30 A.M to 12 P.M with funeral services to begin at 12 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Amazin' Mets Foundation, 41 Seaver Way Queens, Flushing NY, 11368; The Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St., Suite 250 Philadelphia, PA 19106; or the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, ATTN: Financial Operations, 733 Third Avenue, Ste. 510, New York, NY 10017. In his honor, the family suggests toasting to him with a White Russian or Doc Brown's diet black cherry soda.
