Amelia S. Phillips, age 83, of Hockessin, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

Amelia was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Elsie (Maiden Name) and Samuel Simione. She graduated from high school and became a homemaker to raise her young family. Amelia loved being around her family and spending time with them. In her free time, Amelia enjoyed cooking and doing crafts.

Amelia is survived by her daughter, Crystal Cullin (James); son, Mark Ridley; seven grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Karros, and Deborah Littlefield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends whom she loved.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Animals always brought Amelia joy and comfort, in lieu of flowers, that family is suggesting donations be made in her name to the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
