Allen E. Sample, age 70, of New Castle, DE passed away on November 29, 2015. He was born in Elkton, MD, son of the late James and Lillian Sample.In addition to his wife, Barbara A. Hood; his is survived by a son, Nathan Sample, two daughters, Meredith Halko and Allison Sample; a sister, Barbara Mullins; a brother James (Marge) Sample, both of Elkton, MD; and many nieces and nephews.He was a 32 degree F.A. & M. with the Eureka-DuPont Lodge No 23-29 of Wilmington, De. Allen enjoyed watching TV, decorating for the holidays. He had previously won the holiday house decoration contest in the Eagle Glen Civic Association. He was easily recognized by his white hat and carrying a Diet Pepsi.All Service are private.
