Alfred P. Rubini, 92, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Born in Wilmington, on November 28, 1928, he was the son of the late Anna (Cozzi) and Oreste Rubini.
A veteran of the United States Army, Alfred proudly served our country during the Korean War. After his service, he worked as an electrician for Delmarva Power and Light for 43 years, where he met his beloved wife, Elaine. Alfred loved spending time with his family and friends and was a member of St. John the Beloved Parish where he was an active member of the Athletic Association for many years.
In addition to his parents, Alfred was predeceased by his son, Thomas J. Rubini Sr. in 2011, brothers, Salvatore, Fred and Ernest, and sister, Mary DeCampli.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Elaine (Hanlon) Rubini, daughter, Jacqueline A. (Jane) Rubini & son Robert M. (Beverly) Rubini, 10 grandchildren, Thomas Jr, Michael, & Stephanie Rubini. Anthony, Bradley & Timothy Rubini, Jordan, Joshua, Jaclyn & Jamie Schumacher, five great grandchildren, sister Julie (Rubini) O'Toole; several nieces and nephews and numerous family friends. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at St. John the Beloved, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 where friends and family may call from 11:00AM to 12:00PM with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12:00PM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808.
