Alfred K. Barczak, age 88, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2022.

Alfred was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Mary (Dzamalek) and Boleslaw Barczak. He graduated from Conrad High School. Alfred joined the U.S. Army and served his country in the Korean War. He was employed by Electric Hose & Rubber, Wilmington Finishings Company and Acme Markets. He enjoyed cruising and spending time with his family. Alfred was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church and Pulaski Legion.

Alfred was predeceased by his first wife, Theresa (Trzcinski); sister Sophie Strzempa; and brothers John, Zygmunt, Henry and Jesse Barczak.

Survivors include Elaine, his wife of 21 years; daughter Linda; son David (Elly); stepson Tom Jenkins (Debbie) and stepdaughter Tammy Walls (Franny). He is also survived by grandchildren Taylor Crampton; Emma MacDonald (Shaun); Lauren Barczak; Katie Jordon (Greg); Paige Davis; Brittany Walls and Allyson Walls, as well as great-grandchildren Sophia Crampton; Addison and Noah MacDonald; and Logan, Arya and Luke Jordon.

The family would like to thank Somerford Place and Accent/Seasons Hospice for their care and compassion in the months leading to Alfred's passing.

Funeral services will be private.
