Alan David Ladd, Sr., age 60, of Wilmington, DE passed away on December 10th, 2024. Born in Fort Dix, NJ, he was the son of Mabel Lorraine (Hoffman) and the late John Clay Ladd, Jr. Alan graduated from Concord High School and went on to spend his career at the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 37 years of service. Alan was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, guitarist and amateur historian. Alan was incredibly charismatic, easy to spend time with, and enjoyed spending free time with his children and grandchildren.

Alan is survived by his wife of 36 years, Robin Ladd; his children and their partners, Breanna Ladd and George "Andy" Cannon, Alan Ladd, Jr. "AJ" and Eli Arellano Espejo, and Brooke Ladd; his grandchildren, Rubina "Ruby", Ezio, Alan Maurico, and Milena; his mother, Mabel Lorraine Ladd; his siblings, John Clay Ladd, III, Laura White (Bill), Ron Ladd (Amy Gallagher); and his beloved dog, Louie. Alan was predeceased by his father, John Clay Ladd, Jr. and his brother, Evert Ladd.

A visitation will be held on Saturday December 21st at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808, from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. with funeral services to begin at 2 P.M.
