Adriano J. De Aguiar Gouveia, age 69, of Newark, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, September 12, 2022.

Adriano was born in Portugal, son of the late Dolores De Aguiar and Jose Gouveia. Adriano received two associates degree from ISUM College in Caracas Venezuela and went on to become a self-employed contractor. Adriano's family described him as a selfless, generous, and hard-working man who would do anything for his family. His sons remember him for always being there for whatever they needed. In his free time, Adriano loved to read and write about intellectual topics.

Adriano is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sorayda Florez Garcia; sons, Adam and Jeremy Gouveia; sisters, Simone Alcantara, and Ana Paula Ńino; brother, Ismael Gouveia; and numerous close family friends whom he all loved.

A visitation for Adriano will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Skyline Methodist Church, 3100 Skyline Dr., Wilmington, DE 19808, where friends and family may call from 3-4 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 4 PM. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Adriano's name to Sorayda Florez García.
