Adam P. "Applejack" Devore, age 28, of Newark, DE. and formerly of Rochester, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday December 9, 2016 in his home. He was born in Rochester, NY and was a 2006 Bachelors degree graduate of State University of New York at Oswego in Psychology, where he was a member of the Zeta Chi Zeta fraternity. He was a graduate of Sutherland High School and Grand River Academy. He was currently attending classes at Delaware Technical Community College for a degree in counseling. Adam was preceded in death by his father, Allan Kosel, Jr. He is survived by his husband, Damian Ward; his parents, Carl and Cynthia Devore of Virginia and Kim Jordan of New York; one brother, Michael Devore; two sisters, Elaine LaPiana and Danielle DeRider, two grandmothers, and a grandfather. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 where visitation will be held beginning at 4:00. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. An additional service will take place in Rochester, NY. Friends and family will be notified as details become available.
