Keith Russell, 44, of Dover, De passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2015. Keith was born in Newark, De., the son of Johnnie Sue Segars Fenimore and the late Allen Jerome "Jerry" Russell. Keith was a 1989 graduate of Sanford School in Hockessin, De and graduated from Delaware Technical College with an Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served as a Naval Hospital Corpsman and was awarded Good Conduct Award, the Navy Achievement, and National Defense Service medals.Keith was the owner and operator of Delaware Auto Salvage in New Castle and was a member of Delaware Auto and Truck Recyclers Association. Prior to his business, Keith was a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Christiana Care for 10 years. He enjoyed supporting and watching his son at Cross Country and wrestling matches as well as watching his son learn Martial Arts. He loved all things involving Philly sports, and enjoyed going to the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers games. He enjoyed time spent with family at the beach and friends in the Pot-Nets Seaside Community along the Indian River Bay.On June 26, 1999, Mr. Russell was married to Christina Elliott Russell, whom he met while serving in Okinawa, Japan. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Ryan Russell; his step father, Henry Fenimore, his aunt, Rosemary Segars, his uncles, David, Mark and Eddie Klosowski and cousin, Danny Segars. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey L. Russell. He will be missed by his pet dogs and cats, especially Scooter.Funeral services will be held at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19805 on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. where visitation will be held from 5 pm until time of service, 7 p.m. Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 13th, 2016 at 2:00 pm. at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, De.
