Age 75, of Newark passed away suddenly on February 3, 2016 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by his family.Mr. Kopish was born in Fort Dodge, IA, the son of the late Lydia (Vratny) and William C. Kopish. Bill graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in Chemistry and worked for over 37 years for the DuPont Company as a chemist and new product developer, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, woodworking, reading and exploring Indian ruins in the Southwest.Bill will be dearly missed by his wife of 53 years, Ann (Mikes) Kopish; his daughters and their husbands, Paula and Craig Heiser of Boca Raton,FL and Lisa and Patrick Carr of Audubon, PA; his grandchildren, Collin, Blake, Allison, Molly and Luke; his brother, Frank Kopish and his wife, Sue of Bloomington, MN; his sisters and their husbands, Michelle and Loren Neimand of Ft. Dodge, IA and Julie and Jerry Yunt of Bainbridge Island, WA.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707 at 11 AM, friends may call immediately before Mass at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
