Wayne Cuthbert Bruemmer, age 71, of Hockessin, DE, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at his home. Born in St. Cloud, MN, he was the son of the late Iris (Hommerding) and William Bruemmer.

Wayne graduated from Florida Bible College in Hollywood, FL and worked as a delivery driver for DHL Delivery.  Wayne and his wife, Betsy, enjoyed traveling and most recently spent time vacationing and fishing at Buttonwood beach.  Wayne especially loved his boat and catfishing.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Betsy Bruemmer; son, David Bruemmer, daughters, Jennifer Hasse and Sarah Lyke; stepdaughters, Christine, Susan and Michele; 6 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; and 2 step great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM with a visitation beginning at 10:00AM.  Burial will be private.
