Viola Rollo Lofink, age 96, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on March 16, 2021 at her residence at The Lorelton.
Viola was born on December 19, 1924 in Wilmington to Concettina Atanasio Rollo and Vincenzo Rollo, both immigrants from Sicily to the United States.
Viola lived in Wilmington her entire life. She was a graduate of Brown Vocational and worked as a cosmetologist and homemaker. Viola was a member of Christ Our King parish for over 55 years.
Viola is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, James A. Lofink; sisters, Sebastiana Rollo Orser and Frances Rollo Zubowicz; and grandson, Anthony J. Lofink.
Viola will be dearly missed by her sister, Mary Rollo Piendak; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennie and Carl Jones of Massey, MD; her son and daughter-in-law, Vincent Lofink and Janet Kilpatrick of Hockessin, DE; five grandchildren, Brian and his wife, Michelle McClafferty, Michael, Richard, Janet Jones and her partner, Georgie Aguirre-Sacasa and Randolph Jones and his wife, Rachel; and her great-grandchildren, Viola Jean Jones and Gabriela and Joaquin Aguirre-Sacasa.
Of primary importance to Viola was her family. She enjoyed boisterous Sunday family dinners with their many spirited discussions. Viola lived her last six years at The Lorelton in Wilmington, where she made many new friends and acquaintances.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin. There will be no viewing. Interment will be private.
