Rosemary Shoop, 78 of Newark passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 09, 2019 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by her family.Rosemary was born in Chester, PA, the daughter of the late Shirley (Trout) and Howard Gilpin. She retired from JP Morgan Chase and was a former member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Rosemary was predeceased by her husband, Earl in 1995 and her son, Eric in 2017.She will be missed by her daughters, Elizabeth Cook of Wilmington and Holly Bird of MD; her grandchildren, Michael Cook, Jeffrey Cook, Mary Czech, Matthew Cook, Lauren Maclary, Lindsay Cooke, Dennis Bird, Jacob Bird and Katie Bird and her great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Cook Jr, Kelcey Cook, Carly Cook, Emma Maclary, Kloe Maclary, Ryan Maclary, Emily Czech, Melanie Czech, Peyton Bird, and Owen Cooke.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, DuPont Highway and Roosevelt Avenue, New Castle on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11 AM, where friends may call after 10 AM.
