Robert "Bob" Lees Barker, 54 of Hockessin passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Bob was born in Orange County, CA. He was a graduate of Widener University and served his country as a navy nuke in the first Gulf War in the U.S. Navy. He worked for 24 years as a research and development engineer for Covanta Energy. Bob was a member of the VFW. Bob is survived by his wife of 34 years, Angela (Zavatsky) Barker; his sons, Jeffrey Lees Barker (Alex) of New Castle, DE and Daniel Lees Barker (Kat) of Seattle, WA; his daughter Sarah Elizabeth Wardell (Kyle) of Kuna, ID; his grandson, Wyatt James Wardell; his mother, Lana Barker; his father, Robert Lees Barker; his sister and brother-in-law, Wendy Paull (Brian), all of Pensacola, FL. Friends are invited to visitation at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1 to 2 PM. A memorial service will start at 2 PM.
