Robert Henderson Sr., 63 of Wilmington passed away on January 1, 2021 at Christiana Hospital after a long and courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer. Bobby was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Otis and Jennie (Zyczynski) Henderson. He graduated from Wilmington High School, worked for over 30 years at General Motors and was a former member of the Defiance Athletic Club. Bobby loved spending time with his two sons and seven grandchildren. Bobby enjoyed playing poker with his family, horse racing, sports, barbecuing and baking. In addition to his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his brother, Edward John Henderson. Bobby is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda E. (Branum) Henderson; his sons, Chadwick Henderson and Robert Henderson Jr. and his wife Tina, all of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Robert III, Andromeda, Pangea, Savanna, William, Cassandra and Galaxy; his brothers, Joseph and his wife Carol of Laurel and James and Otis Jr. both of Wilmington; his sisters and their husbands, Alice "Pat" and Art Thursby, Beverly and William Harrison, all of Newark, Shirley Collazo of Wilmington and Mary and Randy Ryan of Lewes and many nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be held due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
