Bruce passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Christiana Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late J. Thomas and Gretha Warren.Bruce attended Wilmington High School and the University of Delaware, where he graduated with a B.A. in Accounting in 1951. He retired in 1985 from the DuPont Company after 40 years of service working in both Plastics and Finishes & Fabricated Products Departments.He served in the Korean War as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army. He served as a Boy Scout leader in both the Newark and Hockessin areas from 1963 to 1975. Bruce was an active member of Resurrection Parish volunteering in many capacities. He loved to travel, golf, and spend time at the beach.His survivors include his wife of 47 years, Eleanor Ryan Crumlish Warren, children and their spouses, Robert B. Warren Jr., and Janet , of Myersville, MD, Janet Worne-Mansfield and Paul of Albuquerque, NM, Scott Warren of Telluride, CO, Daniel P. Warren and Cheryl of Santa Fe., NM and Judy Warren Hannon and Jeff of Amenia, NY. Survivors also include 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Thomas, James and John Warren.Memorial services will be private.
