Age 69, of Bear, DE, passed away tragically on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from injuries sustained in a car accident.Born in Philadelphia, PA, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Neiland) Williams. She was employed by Sony in New Jersey as an order picker for over 30 years before her retirement. Her hobbies included trips to Delaware Park and playing computer games. She enjoyed long talks on the telephone with family members and cooking for her family. Most of her joy, however, included spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, her sister, Emily Williams-Arena, predeceased her.She will be dearly missed by her husband of 49 years, Melvin William Kessler Sr.; her daughter, Lisa Kessler Bodine of Wilmington; her sons, Melvin W. Kessler Jr. and Thomas R. Kessler, both of Bear, DE; and her beloved grandchildren, Brandi, William, Tyler, Dillon, Brittney, Thomas "TJ", and Kyle. Also surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Day of Philadelphia, PA and Joan Graham of New Jersey; and her favorite yellow labs, Max and Cody.Friends and family are invited to visitation on Tuesday, November 17th after 1 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington.
