Patricia Ann Dougherty Julian, age 85, of Wilmington, Delaware, went home to eternal life in heaven on May 29, 2021. Pat (Patsy) was born to Joseph and Margaret (Sullivan) Dougherty in Wilmington Delaware on October 14, 1935. She attended St. Elizabeth's Grade School and High School and was a graduate of St. Francis Hospital Nursing School. She was also a member of the Visiting Nurse Association. Pat married her beloved Frank James Julian in July of 1958 and shortly thereafter had nine children. Pat loved her husband immensely and each of her children deeply and gave them a wonderful childhood. Pat was a woman of faith and prayed the Rosary daily. She was an avid reader and always enjoyed a great novel. She and her sister Judy traded books on a regular basis. Pat started playing golf when she and Frank retired and moved to Florida. She also loved watching golf on television. She was a phenomenal cook, loved to cook for family and friends and enjoyed her cooking shows. Pat loved music of all kinds and played the piano in her younger years. She also enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel. Pat was a benevolent supporter of Right To Life, Special Olympics, St. Jude's Hospital for Children, Shiners Hospital for Children, Florida Sheriff's Association for Children and EWTN. Pat was predeceased by her oldest child Francis and her parents. Pat is survived by her husband Frank and eight children, Mimi, Kathy (Mike), Frank (Beth), Karen, Jerry (Shelley), Joe (Kelley), Michael (Maria) and Patrick (Jessica); 15 grandchildren; a great grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by her sister Judy Walsh and husband Bill, and her cousins Terry and Kim Sullivan, Danielle Messina and all her extended family in New Jersey and Ireland. Relatives and friends may call at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church, 10 Old Church Road, Wilmington, DE 19807 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Friday June 4, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following at 11 am. The family requests that masks be worn while in the church. Interment will be private. For those unable to attend Mass, a live webcast will be available to view below at 11 am on Friday.
