Mary F. Schwartz, age 91, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on May 22, 2021.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Flora Reynolds. Mary was married to Abe Schwartz in July 1947. In addition to being a homemaker for her six children, Mary worked as a bank officer until her retirement. Mary and her husband, Abe, relocated to Florida and loved their home in the Village of Holiday Lakes in Port Charlotte, FL, where they lived for nearly 20 years. They enjoyed spending time with their neighbors and the friends they had made in Florida; whether it was in the neighborhood club house or entertaining in their own home. Mary and her husband would often travel, taking cruises and vacations together. Most of all, Mary enjoyed spending lots of time with her family.
Mary (aka Abie's 'Irish Rose') was predeceased by her husband, Abe; her daughter, Judy Miller; her daughter-in-law, Maureen Schwartz; and her brothers, Charles "Buddy" Reynolds, John Reynolds, and Craig Reynolds.
Mary is survived by her children and their spouses, Robert Schwartz, Mary and David Bergman, Barbara and Thomas Cotter, Nancy and Michael Tarsio, and Jackie and Harry Colgan; her grandchildren, Albert, Jim, Kathy, Robbie, Jonathan, Michelle, Laura, Kevin, Daniel, Erin, Keith, Jacob, and Elliot; nine great grandchildren and two more on the way; her sister, Anne Farina; and her brother, George Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held privately in Florida.
