Marie M. Fallers, 89 of Wilmington passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 2, 2017 surrounded by her family.Marie was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Catherine (Andrzejewski) and George A. Murphy. She graduated from St. Elizabeth Grade and High Schools and Goldey/Beacom College. Marie was a proud resident of Browntown and worked for 30 years as a secretary for the DuPont Company. Marie enjoyed gardening, decorating, cooking and baking, especially new recipes. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Fallers in 2002 and her brothers, George and James Murphy.Marie is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Diane and Rob Casho of Chesapeake City, MD and Doreen and Daniel Bustamante of New Castle; her son, Dennis Fallers and his wife, Pam of Wilmington; her sisters, Cass Hall of Rehoboth and Rita Ogonowski of Wilmington; her sisters-in-law, Etta Murphy and Gladys "Sugar" Murphy, both of Wilmington; her 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.Funeral Mass and burial were held privately.
