Age 78 of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully the morning of October 19th, 2016 after several years of illness at Wilmington Hospital, in the presence of her dearest friend Judy.Margaret graduated from Wilmington High School in 1956. She retired from St. Francis Hospital in 1998 as a insurance collection administrator after 32 years of service. Margaret had lived in her parents' home her entire life with her dearest and closest friend of 45 years Judith Krauss and their furry friends Jack and Jill.Margaret loved working, going out to dinner, shopping and especially playing the slot machines prior to her illness. She is preceded in death by her father Harry Griffith and mother Emma A. Griffith (Henry).She is predeceased by her brother Harry A. Griffith and survived by her sister in law Mary Griffith, niece Kathy Moore, nephews Harry Griffith and James Griffith.Friends may visit on Wednesday October 26th, 2016 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Mealey Funeral Homes, 703 North Broom Street, Wilmington, DE. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Thomas Catholic Church, 4th and Bancroft Pkwy, Wilmington, DE.
