Kathryn Hitchens Biscoe, age 107, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice.Born in Cape Charles, VA, Kathryn was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Rosalie (Tingle) Hitchens. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and was a lifelong member of St. James Episcopal Church. She was a supervisor at Wiltex Inc. in Wilmington and retired after 25 years of service. Kathryn married William J. Biscoe and they spent 55 happy years together. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and they were always welcome at her cottage in Rehoboth. Her hobbies included gardening, baking and sewing. Kathryn was predeceased by her husband, William; her brothers, Thomas, Charles and George Hitchens; and her sisters, Emma Darby, Elsie Stewart, Laura Cherpak and Ann Nyiro. She is survived by her caretakers, Thomas, Ann and Joan Hitchens, Audrey Spengler and Patricia Hearn; and many nieces, nephews and their families.Kathryn's family would like to thank the staff at Lodge Lane Assisted Living for the exceptional care she received during her stay there.Friends and family are invited to visitation on Tuesday, February 27th after 10 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where funeral services will begin at 11 AM.
