John F. Lenker age 71, beloved husband, father and Pop Pop, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. John was born in Hickory Corners, Pennsylvania on January 1, 1945 to the late Stanley and Susan (Phillips) Lenker. He was a loving brother to Delbert (Ellen Lenker) Lenker of Wilmington, De. and Stuart (Lois Lenker) Lenker of Hickory Corners, Pennsylvania and Uncle to several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Marjorie Snyder. John is survived by his Wife of 49 years, Deborah (Hoover) Lenker and two Daughters, Stacy (Richard) Schuler and Angie Lenker (Larry Washington.) He was also deeply cherished by his 5 Grandsons, Richie Schuler (Brenna Teti), Robbie Schuler (Sasha Camp), Tyler Schuler, LaMont Washington and Jonathan Washington. John retired from DuPont in 1999 and loved playing baseball and softball for New Castle Senior League. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, cooking and spending time with his family. Services are private and held at the convenience of the family.
