S. citizen, graduated in 1963 during an economic recession and enlisted in the U.S. Army to further his education in electronics. He was proud of being an American and went on to serve his country during the Vietnam war.

He worked for DuPont as an engineer for 36 years and went on to work for Dade-Behring and then Siemens in the same capacity for another ten years. He loved electronics, gaining an appreciation during his early years in school that continued throughout his career. He retired in 2012 after more than 46 years as a staff product engineer in the medical division.
Italo was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and his faith was important to him. He was trilingual, fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English. He had a love for soccer, coached several of his son's Kirkwood Soccer Club teams, and was a proud supporter of the Azzurri, the Italian National Soccer Team.
