Elizabeth C. Bloch, age 99, formerly of Woodcrest, DE, passed away on October 6, 2021. Elizabeth (Betty) was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Alexandra (Waskiewicz) and Joseph Dzielak. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and worked for National Vulcanized Fiber in her younger years and in the cafeteria at Conrad Middle School for over 10 years. Elizabeth loved gardening, bingo and trips with the Absalom Jones Senior Center. She was a former parishioner of St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Her husband, Leonard J. Bloch passed away in 1986. Elizabeth is survived by her son, Leonard J. Bloch, Jr. and his wife, Terry of Landenberg, PA; her daughters, Lorraine E. Riley and Karen M. Bloch and her husband, Chris Roe, all of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Katherine L. Riley, Ernest T. Riley, Jr. and his wife, Kristen, Amanda N. McLaughlin and her husband, Sean and Felicia G. Bloch; her great-grandchildren, Nathan Malenfant, Declan McLaughlin and Ernest T. Riley, III. Funeral services and burial will be private.
