Elaine M. Hargan, 72 of Newark passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Christiana Hospital.Elaine was born in Patterson, NJ, the daughter of the late Betty Marie (Downs) and Donald Hosier. She worked as a computer operator for the University of Delaware for six years. She was predeceased by her son, David Allen Brandt.Elaine is survived by her son, Robert B. Brandt of Wilmington; her grandchildren, David, Bryan and Charlotte; her great-grandchildren, Tucker and Kengsley; her sister Nancy Hughes and her husband, Steve and her brother, Donald Hosier, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth.Services will be private. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the SPCA, 455 Stanton Christiana Road, Newark, DE 19713.
