Age 82, of Newark, DE, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 surrounded by his family.Born in Kirkwood, DE, Ed was the son of the late William and Margaret A. Johnson Conaway. He served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Korean War. Afterward, he worked as a machinist at General Motors in the Tool & Dye Shop for over 25 years before his retirement. A member of Holy Angels Church, he enjoyed darts, bowling and horseshoes. His wife, the love of his life of 58 years, Mary (Wells) Conaway, predeceased him May 22, 2015. Ed will be dearly missed by his daughters, Bonita Conaway of Newark, DE, Connie Schneider and her husband Michael of Bear, DE and Teresa Tombroff of Newark; his son, Daniel Conaway of Newark, DE; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew and his wife Ashley, Sean, Kyle, Brittany, Zachary, Noah, Sydney and Aiden; three great grandchildren, Justin, Gianna and Kayleigh.
