Emma Gail Hellams, "Gail", age 85, of Newark, DE, passed away on February 19, 2021. Born in Asheville, NC, Gail was the daughter of the late Richard A. and Allie (Cowan) Shaft. She worked as a crossing guard for over 47 years for New Castle County before her retirement. She was a very active member of Holy Angles Church and was involved with the Prayer Group, the Widows Club and the Bread Baking Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Mack A. Hellams and her son, Charles Dennis Hellams. She is survived by her nephew, William Keefe of Milford, MI and her niece, Myra Miller of Farmington Hills, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 26th at 10 A.M. at Holy Angles Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE.
