Dorothy Louise Lewis, age 85, of Newark, DE, formerly of Media, PA passed away at home on September 11, 2021. Born in Topeka, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Eleanor (Almon) and Robert Charles Tilghman. She graduated from Media High School and worked as a manager at Lane Bryant. Aside from work, Dorothy enjoyed drawing and painting in addition to spending time with her family. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Robert Tilghman; her husband, George T. Lewis, Jr. in 1991; and her siblings, Reds Tilghman, Gene Tilghman, Ruth Tilghman, and Robert Tilghman who is survived by his wife, Sharon. Dorothy is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Heather Lynn and Armando Perdigon and Holly Leigh and Robert Fullmer; her grandchildren, Christian Lewis, Robert Fullmer, Rebekah Fullmer, and William Perdigon (Jaime); and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Xavier, Gabriel and Evelyn Perdigon. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Hero Scholarship Fund of Delaware County, P.O. Box 924 Media, PA 19063-0924.
