Doris E. Healy, 90 of New Castle passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 1, 2017.Doris was born in Bethel, DE, the daughter of the late Hattie (Jones) and Irving Marine. She was raised in Wilmington and attended Wilmington High School. She worked at Kresge's department store for 20 years. Doris enjoyed having her family and friends sit at her kitchen table drinking coffee, reminiscing, and doing puzzles. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred E. Healy in 1982, and her sister, Jurdie Dorell.Doris is survived by her sons and their wives, John and Edith of Georgetown, and Larry and Donna of Newark; her grandchildren, Teresa Zack (Jim), Michael Healy (Tom), Monica Healy, Brian Healy (Amy), and Andrew Healy; 7 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Cathy Young and Nancy Deptula, both of Rehoboth Beach; her brothers and their wives, Irv and Janet Marine and Robert and Sally Marine, all of Wilmington, and John and Veronica Marine of Newark, and many nieces and nephews.Friends may call at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.
