Denise A. Herron, age 58, of Hockessin, DE passed away on March 1, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Catherine Mary (Alisa) and Alfred J. ("Flop") Salvatore. She attended St. Anthony of Padua Grade School and graduated from Padua Academy before receiving her bachelor's degree at Wilmington College. She worked as a paralegal for the State of Delaware Attorney General's Office for 32 years before her retirement in 2017. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her father-in-law, M. Carl Herron.She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Bruce C. Herron; her son, Sean Herron and his fiance Abbie of Philadelphia, PA; her son, Andrew Herron of Hockessin, DE; her daughter, Catherine Herron of Arlington, VA; her sisters, Diana Mason (Tom) of Bear, DE and Dawn Haley (Scott) of Elkton, MD; and her mother-in-law, Elaine Herron of Pittsburgh, PA. Denise is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 7th from 6-8 PM at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd. Wilmington, DE 19808. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8th from 10-12 PM with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 901 N Dupont St., Wilmington, DE 19805.
