Delores Ann Rice, 74, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 20, 2021. Delores was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Catherine (Sharp) and Edward Markowski. Delores graduated from Wilmington High School and worked as a secretary for DuPont, before becoming a homemaker. She had a very crafty, creative side and was known for her baking, knitting, and flower arrangements. She enjoyed going to the casino with her husband Charles, anything that had to do with Disney, and most of all, spending time with her loving family. In addition to her parents, Delores was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Charles E. Rice Jr.; and her brother, Francis Markowski. Delores is survived by her son, James Rice of Bear; her daughter, Deborah Rice of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Shane Brooks, Catherine Brooks, Brandon Booth, Michael Riddick (Emily), and Christian Booth (Alix); her great grand-children, Kevin and Nevaeh; and her brother, Rick Markowski. Services and burial will be held privately.
