Cora M. Smith, 96 passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Seasons Hospice.Cora was born in Norristown, PA, the daughter of the late Sophie (Painter) and Ark D. Tressler. During WWII, Cora supported the war effort as an instrument technician where her training assisted in the maintenance of the planes housed at the Army Base located in New Castle, Delaware. She retired from Hercules where she was a supervisor in the Graphics Department. A person dedicated to her family and the love of animals, she will truly be missed.Cora was predeceased by her husband, Charles R. Smith in 1991 and her siblings, Charles, Russell, Ark and Roy Tressler and Edith Walker, Ruth Williams, Florence Craig, Heattie Schiebe and Sadie Bockman.Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road at 11 AM, where friends may call after 10 AM. Burial will be in Lower Brandywine Cemetery.
