Age 95, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by his family.Born in Clawson, MI, Charles was the son of the late Charles and Sarah (McGirr) Reilly and was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Detroit. He served his country proudly during World War II in the Army Air Corps. For 30 years, he worked for the DuPont Company at the Newport Pigments Plant, retiring as supervisor. He was a member of St. Matthew's Church where he was married. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Olive M. (Hughes) Reilly, his son, Charles P. Reilly and his great grandchild Charles "Tre" P. Reilly III.He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Rose Mary Reilly Schneider of Wilmington; his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael F. and Teresa Reilly of Hockessin and James S. and Donna Reilly of Wilmington; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14th at 10 AM at St. Matthew's Church, 901 East Newport Pike, Newport where friends and family are invited to visitation after 9 AM.
